About the author of How Emotions Are Made

Canadian author and psychologist Lisa Feldman Barrett has committed her professional life to the study of the human brain and its emotional components. She holds a PhD in psychology and speaks at conferences, universities, and on talk shows. The recipient of the National Institutes of Health Director’s Pioneer Award for her research, she currently teaches psychology at Boston’s Northeastern University.
