Martin Lings

Martin Lings was an internationally renowned British scholar and writer who published works on Sufism, Islam, and Shakespeare. He studied at Oxford University under author C.S. Lewis, then obtained graduate degrees at the University of London. Lings made many contributions to the journal Studies in Comparative Literature and published twelve books, among them Muhammad, which has been hailed as the best biography of the Prophet written in English.
