Carl Safina

Carl Safina is an ecologist, a conservationist, and the founding president of the Safina Center nonprofit. His scientific writings about the life and preservation of animals have earned him a MacArthur genius grant, Guggenheim Fellowship, and several esteemed naturalist and humanitarian awards. Safina has also written several books, including Song for the Blue Ocean and Becoming Wild.
