About the author of A Promised Land
As the 44th president of the United States, Barack Obama served two terms between 2009 and 2017. Prior to the presidency, he was a U.S. Senator and the first Black chairperson of the Harvard Law Society. He also taught Constitutional Law at the University of Chicago.
